This well established multi-activity camp is located at Newtown School in the centre of Waterford, Ireland. Newtown’s enviable facilities include an astro turf, swimming pool, sports hall and tennis courts.
This non-residential day camp runs for three weeks during July, between 10am and 4pm.
We aim to run a camp that allows children to experience a broad range of activities through an atmosphere that ensures safety, fun and learning. We also aim to provide activities that promote fairness, honesty, kindness and respect for others.
Each day starts with an assembly giving the children the opportunity to become familiar with how the camp operates, the coaches and each other. In the morning everyone follows a timetable of activities within small teams of children of a similar age. In the afternoon tournaments are organised within a house system.
At the end of each day the camp is gathered together once again to reflect on the days events. Prizes are awarded to those that demonstrate sportsmanship, artistic flair and helpfulness.
