Located at Newtown School, Waterford, Ireland

CAMP WATERFORD has been running for 12 years. It is an unforgettable experience for kids from 6 -14. Campers come back year after year, some even eventually become coaches themselves. Last year we extended the camp to 4-6 year olds, with the introduction of Cub Camp. Many Cub Campers booked on for a further week because they had so much fun. The Cub Camp was run by a fully qualified and experienced local primary school teacher who has worked at the camp for 10 years. 

This non-residential day camp runs in July, Mon – Fri between 10am and 4pm.

Dates for 2012 are now confirmed:

23rd – 27th July

Camp Waterford use the outstanding facilities at Newtown School which include an Indoor Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Sports Hall and Astro turf. Our experienced and well qualified staff coach a wide variety of sports within small groups. We also give an opportunity for children to take part in activities such as art & crafts, drama, music & treasure hunts. Camp Waterford’s unique family atmosphere is enhanced further by our House System.

We have developed an excellent reputation for providing children with a safe, fun, and rewarding environment. 

We aim to run a camp that allows children to experience a broad range of activities through an atmosphere that ensures safety, fun and learning. We also aim to provide activities that promote fairness, honesty, kindness and respect for others.

Each day starts with an assembly giving the children the opportunity to become familiar with how the camp operates, the coaches and each other. In the morning everyone follows a timetable of activities within small teams of children of a similar age. In the afternoon tournaments are organised within a house system.

At the end of each day the camp is gathered together once again to reflect on the days events. Prizes are awarded to those that demonstrate sportsmanship, artistic flair and helpfulness.

Children will require a packed lunch & drinks.

Camp Waterford Residential

In 2012, we intend to extend our wonderful camp to children that would also like to enjoy a residential experience.

The residential option offers full supervision, full board and lodging, activities in the evenings and excursions at weekends in addition to the normal camp activities.
